1. Korinther 6,12 ist eine Stelle, die klassisch missverstanden wird. “Alles ist erlaubt, aber nicht alles ist nützlich” wird oft als Statement von Paulus und damit als Rechtfertigung genommen. Dabei ist es bei näherem Hinsehen ein Statement der Korinther, das Paulus widerlegt.

Christian freedom is not just the freedom to do, but the freedom not to do. You don’t understand freedom until you willingly and joyfully deny yourself what is technically lawful (or not expressly forbidden in the Bible) but contextually unwise or inappropriate.
